ONE DAY - Produced by Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre

ONE DAY - Produced by Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre SHOW DATES: Now through September 18, 2022 WHERE: BDACT Fine Arts Center; 117 W. Maple Ave. TICKETS: $12 online at BDACT.ORG If you could have one more minute, one hour… one day to share a moment, what would you say? How would it feel? One Day explores confronting loss and how different couples cope with the idea of moving on and starting over. Inspired by a family story, the playwright’s mother shared how her widowed father would come home from work, walk up the steps to the bedroom, and speak to his deceased wife about his day as if she were still present. This heartfelt and memorable connection invites each of us to consider how we might handle our inevitable losses. Director: Carla Woebbeking Producers: Jennifer Bohlig & Jill Kaufman Awards The Redbud Players of Columbus debuted One Day at the Wisconsin AACTFest on January 18-20, 2019 at the Verona Performing Arts Center, Verona, Wisconsin. SOMETHING ROTTEN! by Sunset Playhouse

SOMETHING ROTTEN! by Sunset Playhouse SHOW DATES: April 21 - May 8, 2022 WHERE: Sunset Playhouse; 700 Wall St. in Elm Grove TICKETS: $24 - $26 online at sunsetplayhouse.com Welcome to the Middle Ages! Set in 1595, the hilarious SOMETHING ROTTEN! tells the story of brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, desperate to write a hit play but stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “the Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theater involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time, the boys set out to write the world’s very first musical. But in the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottoms realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self–and all that jazz. With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, New York Magazine calls SOMETHING ROTTEN! the “funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years!” With big song and dance numbers and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters, the musical received show-stopping standing ovations from Broadway audiences—from the top of the first act! THE WILD WOMEN OF WINEDALE by the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre

THE WILD WOMEN OF WINEDALE by the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre SHOW DATES: March 18 - 27, 2022 WHERE: BDACT Fine Arts Center; 117 W. Maple Ave. in Beaver Dam TICKETS: $13 - $20 online at bdact.org This joyful and exuberant, yet ultimately touching, comedy focuses on three women at crossroads in their lives—the Wild sisters of Winedale, Virginia. Fanny has an odd reaction to her 60th birthday. Willa experiences stress to the point of vodka and speed-knitting. Johnnie Faye is determined to put herself back on the market and find a man. (Preferably one with a house since hers is at the bottom of a Florida sinkhole). These women’s lives are further upended by the responsibility of caring for their free-spirited, ailing aunt and the realization that they are drowning under loads of family keepsakes and possessions nobody wants—especially them! With equal doses of hilarity and heart, these extraordinary women come up with delightful and surprisingly unorthodox ways to clear the clutter from their lives, their homes, and their relationships so they can move their lives forward. Together they prove it’s never too late to take another one of life’s paths for a grand new adventure. This Jones Hope Wooten comedy is guaranteed to drive you wild with laughter—and motivate you to keep hounding the kids to please take that stack of quilts and Granny’s Christmas china.
